Strategizing to win
Today, we live in a VUCA (= Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous) world. Hence, most industry cycle times are reduced significantly. From a strategical perspective, we see that most analysis – internal and external – is outdated quickly.
Furthermore, top-down strategy development (and execution) is way too slow, which means that traditional strategy is about to fail. Over time we learned, that execution is the critical – and hard – part about the strategy process.
“Go up and never stop” means to win. And to win, today, means to blend strategy development and execution. Strategy as a process, strategizing, or rapid strategy – as we call it – is a new way of melting various strategy process stages to become one, iterating process.
Client co-creation has always been the golden path at h&z. Together with you, we develop your rapid strategy, show you how it can be executed, and teach you how to iterate it.
Rapid Strategy
In times of permanent change, strategy must not be static. Differentiating between strategy development and execution is risky – at least. Strategy in a VUCA world is only going to be successful – and to be a winning strategy – if you blend the key strategic phases: development and execution. Together with you, we define your rapid strategy based on a true north. Rapid strategy means, that we see strategy as an iterating process where development and execution are feeding each other – all the time

In our Strategy Impact Review, we help you to understand the environment of you business and how it is changing. Furthermore, we review the developments within your company. Traditional Strategy
Several industries remain, where cycle times are still long-term and stable. The traditional way, where a fundamental strategic analysis is followed by a top-down strategy development is the way to go. In such a setup, we provide an outside-in analysis as a foundation for a joint strategy development on the management level. Afterwards, we work with the entire organization to translate the strategy into an action plan.
